D'Arsay Diversion

CAPTAIN'S LOG:  STARDATE 87813.29

We have arrived at an L Class planet in the system discovered by Commander Kaa's sensors.  Preliminary scans detect no sentient life on the planet, though the source of the technology readings appears to be a grave site on planet's equator.  I will be leading an away team to investigate.

010:  "Sir, gravestone motif markers appear...
101:  "...to resemble pictograms....
010:  "...recorded by the...
101:  "Enterprise D.  Running them....
010:  "....through....
101:  "the universal translator...
010:  "now."

Cmdr. Nox:  "Captain, the D'Arsay technology almost completely converted the Enterprise D into a museum of relics from their culture.  Recommend we sever any link with The Psyche and isolate these tricorders when we return to the ship."

Captain Croft: ::looks up impatiently from the very exciting data on his tricorder:: "Yes yes very good Commander."

::goes back to taking readings::

Captain Croft:  "This is a remarkable find.  Forensic analysis suggests that these individuals buried at this site were poiklothermic.  The cold blooded nature of the species could explain why the Sun predominated their cultural iconography."

::taps his communicator::

Captain Croft:  "Commander Kaa, I want complete anthropology and xenobiology teams down here for a proper site survey in one hour.  Croft out."

THE AWAY TEAM POSES IN FRONT OF A D'ARSAY GRAVESITE MARKER.  WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DISCOVERY!
